Al Fresco Midsummer Dinner Party

If summer is perfect for anything (besides hanging on the beach, perfecting warm-weather cocktails, saying “I do”, etc.), it has to be alfresco entertaining. Whatever size dinner party is your thing, this garden inspired soiree is the perfect inspiration for your next gathering, rehearsal dinner or garden wedding. Beautifully captured by Melanie Osorio, this elegant rustic party drew its inspiration from the muted tones of the garden, with Sweet Caroline Calligraphy doing a lovely job of capturing our vision with her hand painted and calligraphed invitation suite. We worked with Chef Jack Taylor to create a fun farm-to-table menu, incorporating summer tomatoes, zucchini, eggs, and lemons from the garden. Garden urns that Carla Kayes filled with herbs, flowers and fresh lavender from the garden which we also used to adorn the bread rolls, gave us a delightful alfresco affair with a European garden vibe. And what more perfect drink than a glass of Pimms, the quintessentially English summer cocktail, with carrot cake from Sweet Cheeks Baking for dessert. With chair and table rentals by TBD San Diego, a vintage tabletop from Cheri’s Vintage Table, and linens by La Tavola, it was a perfect evening spent laughing with good friends over drinks and great food!
