Top 10 Wedding Trend Predictions for 2025

The wedding world is constantly evolving. As a luxury wedding planner, I’m always looking for meaningful trends that are still timeless to help make your special day even more memorable! Heading into 2025, we’re seeing the trend for hyper-personalization continue as couples look to express their own tastes, preferences, and experiences in their weddings. Unlike any other generation, Gen Z couples are looking to wed their way, adding their own twist to traditions and crafting their wedding day in ways that are uniquely them. From more immersive wedding moments and unique guest experiences created with thoughtful and beautiful styling to new spins on classic traditions such as wedding cakes, guest seating and even bridal parties, 2025 is going to bring some “haute” style to the aisle! Read on for my top 10 wedding predictions for 2025.

1.  Wedding Reception Seating Will Be More Unique

If you’re tired of round or rectangular wedding tables, you’re in luck! Unique table arrangements are going to be one of the top 2025 wedding trends. Serpentine tables, in particular, are going to be trendy. These “S” shaped tables create a winding look that’s perfect for intimate outdoor wedding receptions. For larger, banquet-style receptions, we’re seeing traditional long tables replaced by U-shaped configurations as well as oval tables instead of rounds and longs.

2. Earth Tones and Textures Will Be a Popular Choice for Wedding Decor

When it comes to wedding colors, we’re still going to continue to see brighter accent colors such as chartreuse, yellow, and red tastefully incorporated into the decor in 2025. But overall, we’re seeing couples embrace natural tones (hello Mocha Mousse!), textures, and materials as they lean into romantic, nature-inspired tones. On the table, we’re likely to see even more use of terracotta and earthenware ceramics, as well as natural linens and patterns. In addition to warm hues like taupe and brown, soft moss greens and muted blues are also becoming more popular — and they’re perfect for creating a warm, cozy feel to your reception!

3. Brides Will Opt for Organic Floral Arrangements

From the bouquet to the centerpieces, 2025 couples are moving away from traditional shapes and compositions. Instead, they are expressing themselves with free-form bouquets and installations that are organic and imaginative. Overflowing centerpieces are richer and more opulent, creating a still-life effect; while ceremony altars become more architectural and asymmetrical and incorporate unique textures, components and shapes.

One of the most unique 2025 floral wedding trends we love is arrangements that incorporate fruits and vegetables. You’ll see more centerpieces and bouquets featuring local produce, such as peaches, berries, cabbage, kale, grapes, citrus, and tomatoes. Fruit trees or plants may also be used as wedding aisle markers. This trend is also a reflection of the farm-to-table menus we’re seeing across the board!

4. The Return of the Hometown Wedding will Rival Destination Weddings

As a luxury and destination wedding planner, I love a good European wedding! There’s nothing like a wedding in the hillsides of Tuscany or the fields of Provence. The good news is that Europe will remain a top spot to tie the knot in 2025 as couples continue to embrace outdoor, garden spaces that have built-in character and charm.

However, we’re also seeing the return of the private estate and hometown wedding, where planning a party with meaning to couples in their childhood backyard or front courtyard packs as much punch as a glamorous destination wedding.

5. Guests Will Have a Blast at Immersive Weddings

Couples will be all about creating an unforgettable guest experience at their wedding weekend. In 2025, I expect to see more couples incorporate memorable touches and immersive experiences into their big day!

Couples will start the weekend off with personalized touches like wedding welcome gifts and personalized welcome notes, then allow the weekend to unfold with immersive experiences. From beach volleyball and pickleball tournaments to pool parties, sailboating, and elaborate after-parties that include signature cocktails, live DJ experiences, and so much more, 2025 weddings will go far beyond just dancing!

6. You Can Expect to See Multiple Outfit Changes at Weddings

Couples are expressing their individuality and creating more memorable moments by switching up their attire, sometimes multiple times during wedding events – and this is a 2025 wedding trend that we can get on board with! More of our couples are investing in a wedding stylist to help them curate their wedding wardrobes, too.

In addition to the traditional wedding dress, we’re now seeing brides changing into a short, playful wedding reception dress so they can dance more easily.

Some brides are even changing into a third style now. The idea has been inspired by multicultural couples, who might choose to wear two ceremony outfits to incorporate cultural traditions into their special day, as well as influencer couples who like to express their personal styles through multiple outfit changes.

7. Couples Will Coordinate Accessories

If you’ve been following me, you know that I love cohesive wedding looks, so I can really get on board with this next wedding trend for 2025. When couples choose to match or coordinate their accessories, they can really tie their theme together and elevate their wedding day look!

There are so many ways you can do this based on your theme and personalities. If you’re opting for a western wedding theme, for example, you might both wear turquoise accessories (e.g. earrings for a bride and a bolo tie for the groom) along with cowboy boots. For a more timeless, classical look, if you’re a 2025 bride, consider pairing a pearl headband with your hubby to be sporting a pearl brooch or silky pocket square in lieu of a boutonniere!

8. Aesthetic Dress Codes Will Be on Trend

2025 is going to be all about aesthetics — and for some couples, that means ensuring that their guests also fit in with their aesthetic. After all, as a guest, you are essentially a part of the wedding decor, since you’ll play an integral role in the couple’s wedding photography!

As a guest, don’t be surprised if you’re asked to lean into specific colors and themes to supplement a couple’s overall aesthetic vision. Or, if you’re asked to be part of a wedding party, you may be expected to source your own look to fit the wedding vibe, too. Bonus, this trend not only makes for stunning photos but also allows each person to feel comfortable and authentic.

To promote their theme, couples are putting together mood boards with their dress code look either as a part of the wedding invitation or on their wedding website.

9. Draping Techniques Will Create a Romantic Ambiance

In 2025, couples will be embracing romance! You can expect to see dramatic drapery incorporated into wedding decor. Fabric-draped ceiling treatments paired with candles and dim lighting can be a great way to create a romantic ambiance. The addition of table lamps can help further create a dreamy, romantic atmosphere. Further, some couples are getting creative with custom linens that bring in residential qualities with block prints, stripes, and other natural designs that offer a balance of understated elegance and ease.

10. Unique Cake and Dessert Options

In 2025, couples are more likely to ditch the traditional wedding cake and opt for alternative wedding desserts. We’ll be seeing everything from soft-serve ice cream to fruit-filled pavlova.

Although tiered wedding cakes will never go out of style, more couples will be open to sheet cakes this year. Just like with floral arrangements, we’ll be seeing fruit on wedding cakes this year, too — as well as everything from flowers to ribbons.
